Phoenix Afterlife

Accessibility

Phoenix Afterlife aims to make its website usable by people with disabilities and is working toward WCAG 2.2 Level AA as its design and testing standard. This is an ongoing commitment, not a claim that every page or third-party service is already fully conformant.

Measures in the current design

The core templates use semantic headings, keyboard-accessible navigation, a visible skip link, visible focus states, descriptive link text, responsive layouts, readable line lengths, and colour combinations selected for accessible contrast. Editorial images receive text alternatives. The mobile menu uses a real button with an accessible label and expanded state.

Forms, newsletter tools, embedded media, and other third-party components are reviewed separately because their behaviour can differ from the core site.

Report a barrier

If you have trouble using Phoenix Afterlife, email [email protected]. Please include:

  • the page address;
  • the device, browser, or assistive technology you were using, if you are comfortable sharing it;
  • what you were trying to do; and
  • the problem you encountered.

We will try to provide the information in another usable format while a barrier is investigated. Please do not include medical records, diagnoses, or private information about another person.
